From October 2012 until September 2013 I was Artist in Residence at Camperdown Wildlife Centre: www.camperdownwildlifecentre.com I made work which explores the theme of Becoming Animal, investigated the relationships between humans and animals and asked what does it mean to be an Urban Animal.
In response to my time at Camperdown I made several works including a Story Trail to help engage visitors with the animals they were seeing, a series of conversations with curator Katie Reid examining the zoo as a gallery, a series of performances exploring conservation and rewilding and a film responing to the reaction of visitors to the caged birds at the zoo.
